The Come-Blog-Along group on Ravelry today start our second Year of Projects and I wanted to show you the above picture as a reminder of one of my sadly neglected UFOs which is going to be on my list for this coming year. (By the way I'm going to frog this and start over as I've seen a nicer way of doing it.) Many of the bloggers last year changed their lists quite dramatically, including myself as I think we were all a little ambitious at the beginning. Some of us have decided to be less specific this year and so, here is my 'list' .....
Work on Wool Eater Blanket (maybe even finish it)
Make Birthday gift for a family member
Make Mother's Day gift
Start on Queen Anne Lace cloth
Knitted baby blanket (corner to corner)
Start on a ripple throw as a stashbuster project
And for charity -
Baby's cardigan
Baby's jacket (a first size jacket - near bottom of page)
July 14 is the date for our first progress post but of course I'll be 'seeing you' again before then.
Thanks for visiting.
Hi Dorothy, that looks like a nice sensible list! Hope you have a great first week of YoPing! xxx
ReplyDeletehehe yes, I was definitely a little over-ambitious with my list last year. hopefully the lessons learned will mean far less changing of lists halfway through the year this time around!
ReplyDeleteExcellent list, left open for some take your fancy pattern using.
ReplyDeleteWonderful list, and I love that you've combined crochet and knitting! The Wool Eater blankets are lovely - your beginning piece is beautiful so it must be tough to frog. But I agree, finding a better way of making something makes it worth unraveling!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list Dorothy and you have some gorgeous items there that I can't wait to see.
ReplyDeleteVery nice list and hey, completing wips is a great thing to incorporate on there!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely list. Good luck with everything.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to make a wooleater but haven't included it on the list yet, I think I'll see how much stash I have left after Christmas. Lovely list.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, and a good idea to be less specific, it's easier to get your list done then!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what you do with all these projects! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteYour wool-eater is just lovely in those colours. That Queen Anne's Lace throw boggles my mind. Can't wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeleteThe square you want to frog looks great to me. Though perhaps I don't know what it's suppose to look like or what you had in mind. Best of luck with it and your wonderful list. We all embark together on this mission.
ReplyDeleteYour hook is going to be busy ...:))
ReplyDeleteAll the best :))
Love the wooleater pattern , Hope you will let us in on the new way to crochet it .. as the old way is very hard on the wrist..
looks like a great list! good luck!
ReplyDeleteI love your list! I think I'm still being over ambitious but I can live with that, lol. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Queen Ann's lace :)
ReplyDeleteI love the wool eater blanket! Is that the one you are going to frog?
ReplyDeleteThe queen anne lace intimidates the socks off me.
Since this is my first I have no idea if my list is too ambitious or not! It's good to know others "updated" their list throughout the year :) I'm looking forward to seeing your progress this year - good luck!
ReplyDeletewow..sounds like you have a great year of crafting coming up...I have knitting and crocheting on my list too...good luck...can't wait to see you finished projects...
ReplyDeleteThis is my first year joining in and I feel fortunate to have the benefit of all the lessons learned by last years group! It looks like you've got variety and flexibility to keep you motivated. Good luck and have fun!
ReplyDeleteI love that wool eater blanket Dorothy; it looks so effective!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. Looking at yours makes me realize I should add some projects for charity too! Share the love :-), I should find me a charity were I can knit for. Any tips?
ReplyDeleteI like the look of that wool eater granny...and the colors you've choses are just right. One of these days I need to put that on my to do list...right now working on a granny ripple ghan....I never stick to lists....
ReplyDeleteNice list :D The Queen Anne Lace cloth is glorious, I am in awe of anyone who can crochet, let alone can crochet something as spectacular as that :D
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see you back---I kept my list a bit more general this year to hopefully fix that over ambitious streak I have.
ReplyDelete*smiles and cheery thoughts*
Hi Dorothy, many thanks for stopping by my blog - great to "meet" you. You asked about the Aran Tweed kids knitting booklet? I went back to find it myself on the Yarn Queen site and couldn't locate it either, perhaps they have sold out?
ReplyDeleteYou have some lovely projects and finishes :)
best wishes, Katrina in New Zealand
